My little blue pill - project me day 124

So, things are getting a little scary in my paradigm. I'm beginning to be conscious of how long it really takes to get a new business off the ground. Well, I know I've said it all before ... I've mulled over the money issues, the frustrations, the fears and doubt that manages to slip through the cracks of a great self worth and self love.

However ... I don't know if I can't turn around and say that I do have a happy pill to help me get through my days.

I've never actually taken a real little blue pill and the closest I've gotten to any form of tranquilizer or sleeping pill has all be airy fairy and natural. I might have totally abused the natural stuff ... but I also think that I know my ability to get addicted to things and have seen what addiction to pills has done to some important people in my life. Basically ... I started off by being too chicken to ever take them. Now ... I really have learned that I can survive without them.

But ... here's the little blue pill I can't survive without ... my Country music!!!

The reason why it's so important to share this with you is because I'm blogging late for the very reason that I needed that little blue pill of mine.
I've shared the butterflies with you and you know that I've been a little more anxious about the great risks I've taken in the business, with my choices in life ... and wait ... there's the tattoo in two weeks time, there's the new found life of controlling blood sugar and adjusting to eating and living differently, there's all the family stuff that's bubbling away under the surface ... there's life!!! Of course I need my little blue pill!

Most people hide their little blue pill away from the world and it's amazing that I always find myself doing that with my absolute love for good old Country. As close as Greggie and I are ... it's a world that I haven't even let him into. But it really is my escape.

This morning I?literally?lay there and filled my head with the sweet sounds until I felt my heart stop racing, my mind settling itself back to the present and my body gain enough excitement to begin the day. I'm just guessing ... but isn't that exactly what a little blue pill does? Doesn't it just take enough of the edge off to face it all? Doesn't it do that little numbing out thing that gives you confidence to carry on with it all?

If so ... then I sneak a little blue pill to start every day! Sometimes I end my day with it to ...

  1. Ah... the sweet sounds of... wait! Are you mad?! 😉 Wait, don't answer that one.

Music really is one of the greatest things we can have, even if it is country music. 😀 The best bit is that it's very personal. What one person can get out of a particular song can be so very different from someone else, or even the composer for that matter. It truly is something you can take with you.

As for country music 😉 there is a time and place for everything. Including Britney!! 🙂 Yay! Although most folk know that blue pill of mine.

As for 100% natural products... be warned... even cocaine is a "natural" substance. Most natural products are so processed I don't know how anyone can term it "natural", or even "all natural"? That's a pet peeve of mine... and a whole other discussion. 😀

  3. It's not the first time I've been told that things like cocaine are natural too ... lol!!! As long as in my little bubble I know that I'm doing my best to take care of my body. I've also always been too nerdy to try any of those natural things!!!

LOL ... most people have that reaction to Country music!!!! I know your passion for music and for Britney ... and its refreshing how you see such special life lessons in all the songs!!

  4. Ahh...Jodene! today you are my blue pill, always encouraging me to write better, its always wonderful to stop by your masterpiece and have a gaze.

    1. Ant, that really is such an awesome thing to say and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you are enjoying every moment of blogging my friend!

  5. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
