I know, it's nearly half way through the day and still ni blog. Well that's because I'm a South African blogger who has days when I wake up to no electricity or no internet connection.

Today is a particularly bad day though, considering it went off at 4am and hasn't come back on yet ... Being 2 on this freezing public holiday ... Brrrrr

Laptop battery is flat ... No internet connection ... Welcome to my beautiful country

  1. Makes me think of the Weird Al song, Amish Paradise:

"There's no phone, no lights, no motorcar
    Not a single luxury
    Like Robinson Caruso
It's as primitive as can be"

    Welcome to Africa 😉

  2. Tee hee hee ... yesterday really was primitive, but I did find myself pretending to be alive in the Victorian era and enjoying the total isolation from technology and lights ... and the electric blanket 😉

  3. Whats up, I was reading another fact about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective about it is diametrically contradicted from what I read earlier. I'm still pondering with the opposite points of view, but I'm leaning to a large degree toward yours. And irrespective, that's what is so good about modern-day democracy and the marketplace of ideas online.

  4. Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
