I so don't feel like blogging! That's allowed right? To totally and utterly not feel like saying a word about anything? Don't get me wrong, I had a super fun day, but I feel totally uninspired to write about it. Instead, thanks to my new blogging friend D, I am going to do my usual escape from reality and answer some fun questions I nabbed from her awesome blog. Oh and if you have any other crazy questions for me ... go right ahead and let's see if we can compile a mini interview down the line!
So here goes:
What inspires you to blog?
My passion for writing and showing the world that it is possible to live each day with courage, consciousness and a sense of humour. Let's not forget the little detail of wanting the platform so that I have some credibility and my books get published ... oh, and it's my ticket to the Ellen show, remember??
What?s the best thing about blogging, for you?
My incredible followers and the beautiful friends I have made along the way.
It?s 9pm and for some reason you?ve been hungry all day, despite the three square meals. What do you rustle up?
Yoghurt with vanilla roasted sunflower seeds and chopped apple ... totally yummy!
What?s your current favourite song/piece of music?
Brace yourself ... it's country! Sugarland - It happens ... listening to it as we speak actually 😉
What is your current favourite recipe?
I shouldn't be sharing because I'm making it for the first time on Wednesday night but it's a watermelon, feta cheese and red onion salad. Beside myself with?excitement?to give it a whirl. Never mind the fact that I'm cooking for H who happens to be the bomb of a chef.
Who or what first inspired you to set up your own blog?
I watched Julie and Julia and decided to give it a bash but I couldn't have done it without that reassuring smile from my Greggie.
Who or what made you into the person you are today?
It's gonna sound so Zen, but ever person I know has had some part in giving me the opportunity to make myself into who I am today.
What have you learned from blogging?
That when I make a promise to myself, I stick to it!?
Knowing what you know now, what knowledge would you pass on to your past self?
Oh that's so easy ... shagging is super fun! That way I totally wouldn't have waited so long to sort my issues out!!?
Sunday roasts - lunchtime or evening meal?
Lunchtime ... in our house it always goes on for hours and spills into those evenings where leftovers are dragged out again so it's a double bonus.
What has been your best blogging-related experience so far?
Wow, there are far too many moments to mention but I think my best experience is on its way because I'm about to meet my most loyal and inspirational follower in the next few weeks and I can't believe the bond has been formed through 'project me'. See you in two weeks Robbie 😉
What?s the hardest part of your average day?
Waking up! I'm so not a morning person and yes, there's a whole lot of sighing! PS ... it's not because I don't love life. It's because sleeping is totally the coolest invention!
Where do you find solace?
Lying on my bed with my music playing and my daydreamy flight with a certain dragon. Those moments are my little blue pill.
What makes you the saddest when you read/see the news?
That people still believe the empty promises of politicians and don't know how to choose what is truly best for their happiness and wellbeing.?
What do you eat for a favourite snack?
It's gonna be like deja vu but it's the yoghurt and sunflower seed thing again. I'm also a bit of a two minute noodle chick ... yes, as a snack and not a meal!
What movie could you/would you watch more than two or three times and still enjoy just as much as the first time?
Under the Tuscan Sun. I'm scared to announce how many times I have watched it and have to admit that I watched it about a week ago again and cry every time. Yes, every time!
What boy/girl first made you cry?
His name was Adam and I loved him! I was 7 but it was true love. His family emigrated and I remember sobbing when we had to say good bye! He was the first but so no the last ... let me not get started!?
Okay, so that was the fun that I needed for the day and I'm thrilled that I did it. I'm going to climb into bed and say thank you for my beautiful day. Thank you to my mommy for taking me shopping. She drove me and that's brilliant because she hasn't done that in a while. Thank you again for helping me choose more pretty clothes that don't include my standard jeans and a T. A special thank you to My Knight who fetched me in his spiffy new car and took me for a super sized ice cream. A bigger thank you to my family for a wacky evening together and for reminding where I got the loopy gene from.
Anything else you wanna know? ...
Whooo Hooo... just two weeks away. :'( if my car comes back!
But... the universe surely wouldn't pull such a cruel joke! 😀
My recent post Rose of Sharyn
How is your little car doing? It would be terribly sad if it was still sick when we are just a stone throw away from each other 😉
